    Recording MP4 and Volume
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, August 27 2005 @ 09:28 AM EDT
    Hi Guys

1st I live in Australia and think this show is great. I've been a Doctor Who fan since episode 1

You asked for feedback re MP4 format..

Turn up the record volume please, I use a Creative muvo and listen to radio at 25 on the volume slide, other podcasts at 30/33 on the volume slide but yours at 40 MAX and still have problems hearing it while driving. I know I have had to convert it to Mp3 for the muvo (using Itunes) but its very quiet on the PC too.

I only have Itunes that plays MP4 to as nothing else I have including Window Media Player will play it, so I can't jump the record volume and surely the low ambient sound level means others have to turn the volume up which would surely reduce the sound quality. Which is very good by the way

Keep up the GREAT work guys.. Good show

    Don

Just started listening as of Ep 3. Great job guys. A lot of fun to listen to. The
sound is a bit quiet, but plays nicely on my Mac...Ken, you must come to the
    dark side...:-)

Really, it was fun and I have my subscription set up and look forward to
    listening every week.

Uh guys, about the 'stereo' feed
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, August 29 2005 @ 07:31 PM EDT
I just found your feed on iTunes while doing a search for Dr Who. I found the first two eps of the show ... interesting ... even if I disagreed with some of the points made.

I just started listening to this third ep and the 'stereo' effect works better than you might have intended. I have one american (Ken?) in my right ear, the second (Lou:) in my left ear, and the englishman (James?) in both ears.

So is this just the iTunes feed or something with any of the recordings?

PLEASE post in both MP3 and MP4 formats. I have a Creative MP3 player that will NOT do MP4s and suspect a great number of your listeners may be in a similiar boat.

Basically it comes down to what the goal is - maximum listeners or newest best codec.
