Cybermen in the next series. I'm afraid I disagree with James' thoughts about
seeing knackered, decaying old Cybermen return.
To my mind, the next series should show the zenith of a huge Cyber-Empire.
With the almost total annhiliation of the Daleks in the Time War, and - for the
same reason - no Time Lords to oppose them, surely the Cybermen would
not have wasted time in exploiting the destruction of the old balance of
power and filling the political vacuum across the galaxy, conquering worlds
with little or no opposition.
Of course the Cyber race is hell bent on it's own survival, but with the
resources of the whole universe diverted to their cause, the Cybermen should
be stronger, sleeker and scarier than ever before.
And who better than a regenerated Doctor to bring down their totalitarian
regime?
