Doctor Who NewsThe BBC are reporting today that Doctor Who will be making it's way to Europe following a deal with the German commercial broadcaster ProSieben. This will increase it's audience once again, as the series currently being screened in Canada, South Korea and Hungary. It is also currently being repeated on UK Gold in the United Kingdom.

From the BBC website, ProSieben has purchased both series of the show and will begin screening it next year. Isabelle Helle, Head of Germany, BBC Worldwide, said: "The series has gained iconic status outside of the UK and has already been licensed to broadcasters in sixteen countries worldwide. " Meanwhile, Thomas Schultheis, Head of Programming at ProSieben has been just as generous with his praise. "Doctor Who is one of the most clever and entertaining series to come from Great Britain."
