You guys are right, Tomb of the Cybermen has the first direct mention of the Doctor's age.

. has the Series One set for $74.00 Canadian, which is around $64.00 US.

The price of the Canadian Dollar is getting closer and closer to the US dollar, but it's still reasonable.

I don't know what is charging for shipping to the US, but it can't be $28.00 US, can it?

This feedback from Joe at Cinema Slave may come from a pre-order price. Perhaps the pre-order price was higher?

It seems Amazon is selling it at $73.xx Canadian, down from a so-called original $124.xx

MSRP seems to be $124 Canadian, so that sounds right. But they're actually selling it for $73.xx Canadian, or $64.00 US.

One solid hope is worth a cartload of uncertainties.

Just listened to the newest Podshock last night (yea, bit late, but I just flew back from LA) and what was that Ken said about I-Con and DWNY? I listened again and again and all I can hear is, “THEY should be ones [wah] [wah] [wah].”
Some of us may go to I-Con, I’m not sure. I’ll jump in the car if some of the others are going, if just to meet you guys and hang around with the other DWNYer’s. Truth is I’m not really interested in non-Doctor Who related conventions because I’m not so much a general SciFi fan (even United Fan Con is a little too diluted for consideration). Though the fact that Elvira will be there makes it tempting, but I suppose she won’t be in costume/character, shucks. I enjoyed watching Babylon 5 and Farscape. I really consider Blake’s 7 to be a spin-off of DW because the feeling of the stories are so similar. I loathe a certain S.T. series, and I find the new Galatica too depressing.
Anyway, some of us might be there, its too early to tell. In any case, can’t wait to meet you guys at some point.

I posted this elsewhere already but I think this is where I should have posted...

There was some talk on the latest show about the size of Gallifrey in LA vs Chicago Tardis. I've been to both conventions and the size is not even close. Gallifrey is more than twice the size of CT. I think CT generally draws about 300 fans while Gallifrey tends to get between 700 and 800 fans.

Size is not always an indication of quality *ahem* although I do think that Gallifrey is the better event.
