    Doctor Who NewsDoctor Who has triumphed at the British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTAs) 2006 in London with three big awards - two given by the Academy and one by the television audience. For more details, check out the BBC News website here

    Wow... This is impressive. Of course I wanted Doctor Who to win the coveted Best Drama Series... but traditionally these things go to non-science fiction subject matter (at least here in the US)... Plus it won Best Drama Serial (not sure of the difference between the two though), is equally impressive.

    Doctor Who continues to win awards after awards... I am glad the winning streak is continuing... and rightly so. Kudos to Russell T Davies and all involved.

    Its great news and I would imagine lots of people high up at the BBC are over the moon it did so well, especially considering the other awards the shows already recieved. Phil Collinson was interviewed on BBC Wales and he was really made up about it. Even nicer is seeing Russell T get recognition with a award - richly deserved and I cannot think of anyone who's done as much for British TV and always maintaining such high standards and the great thing is he does Doctor Who :)
