Finally the Podshock New Year has arrived! I'm so relieved! Now I can take off this silly hat! I've looked pretty foolish these past two weeks, but you boys are worth it! Thanks, Louis et al.

Great show guys but I didnt realize how bad the audio was on the mp3 i had sent you with the chicago tardis review. I think I had the mic to far away from my mouth and next time i wont use the scooby doo style doctor who theme music i got from the doctor who mix site :) I hope Jason and I didnt sound to negative about the convention as we did enjoy ourselfs there. But look for more stuff for podshock from Jason and I. Thanks again for broadcasting our review flawed as it was.

About the review of Runaway Bride and the monster... I really can't believe you guys didn't like it. It looked amazing and was a brand new baddie to boot. The actor in the monster suit did a wonderful job as well. Really surprised at you guys. Had you said the Slitheen looked bad I'd agree... but this one? It was great!

I had three comments I wanted to make as I was walking to work listening to the show this morning. Now I'm back at home trying to remember what they were.

Oh well, I can remember at least one of them. In regards to the rumor (rumour?) that David Tennant is leaving in season four and the reply that three years is a good run for a Doctor...I disagree a bit, because for the new show you only get 13 episodes a season. I understand that they're twice as long as the old shows used to be, but that still seems like a lot less to me. Just my humble opinion. With the current schedule, my own personal hope would be to get at least five years out of Tennant.

I was surprised that no one had anything positive to say about the Doctor not joining for Donna's family for Christmas dinner -- actually you didn't say much of anything on the topic.

I think that was perfectly fitting with our Doctor; he "joined" the domestic thing last year and those relationships ended in heartache - at least with him alone. He could not join Donna for Christmas because of the memories and, I really think, the attachments that result from actually knowing the humans.

Also, I watched the Christmas special again after listening to this podshock, and I think that even though the Doctor did ask Donna to join him traveling, he almost seemed...shocked, yes that's a good word, shocked that the offer came out of his mouth. So I don't think he really meant to ask her to join, he just was so lonely.

Just a quick comment about something tangential that was mentioned in Podshock 62.

The Simon Pegg series "Spaced" is currently airing on BBC America late on Thursday nights as part of their "Underground". Usually bookended by "Peep Show" and/or "Black Books" (starring among others, Tamsin Grieg from the DW series 1 ep "The Long Game", so its not a total tangent, but I'm stretching).
