     Novelizations confirmed

Sarah Jane Adven...With the publication today of Doctor Who Magazine #384, we can now confirm that episode novelizations have returned to the Doctor Who universe.

The issue gives all but one of the story titles for the season, matching books already listed on

The first story, by Garth Roberts, remains untitled, but the remaining are:

"Eye of the Gorgon" by Phil Ford as novelized by Phillip Stratford
"Warriors of the Kudlax" by Phil Gladwin as novelized by Gareth Roberts
"Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?" by Gareth Roberts (novelization status unclear)
"The Lost Boy" by Phil Ford (novelization status unknown)

The status of the two Gareth Roberts stories is a bit unclear at the moment. Only one is actually listed on on, under the confusing title "Story Two". But it is listed as being novelized by Roberts himself. Given that "The Invasion of the Bane" by RTD and Roberts, is also to be novelized by Roberts, it may be a safe bet to assume that both Roberts stories will be self-novelized. Each of the books will be released in paperback, with photographs from the particular serial included.

Penguin Character Books will release the books in November.

As with all pre-sale information posted to, details are subject to change as the release date nears. Already, for instance, have edited the name for an audio we previously reported on. The Golden Storm now seems to be The Glittering Storm. Also, references to hardbound editions of these audio adventures no longer appear on the site. Does this mean these BBC Audios are to be audio only? We'll keep you posted as November grows closer.
