    Great Podcast!

I have to say, though - am I the only person who prefers McCoy in season 24?

I'm not too keen on the stories - but I'm a big fan of McCoy when he plays the role in a more jovial way. He's great at physical comedy and I really admire that.

I think one of his best performances is possibly in "Delta And The Bannermen". Not a big fan of the story but he's funny, fun and - in his dealings with Ray - possessing a sort of bumbling charm that I really rate.

Its when they try and make the character more "serious" and "dark" that I'm not so keen. I don't think he conveys anger very well and some of his attempts to do "enigmatic" lack gravitas. It's a shame that they occur in stories that are so much better than s24.

One of my favourite McCoy's is "Remembrance" - but the bits I love most about this story are the mad professor getting things wrong, getting into a mess as he tries to fix the teleport, frustrated that his umbrella gets caught and sparring with Ace (its amazing to think this is their first proper story together after Ace's introduction - the chemistry just fits brilliants).

However the stuff I like least in "Remembrance" is the darker stuff - McCoy's "not a Timelord" to Davros, or his talking the final Dalek to death. Its not that I'm against the ideas so much as I don't quite think McCoy could quite catch the darkness those scenes required.

All-in-all though, I like McCoy's stuff. When he's good he's a fantastic Doctor and I just wish there was more stuff out there of his.

However I have a bone to pick with the Podcast and the lazy fan boy attack on Michael Grade as somehow the source of all evil!!! To be honest, I think he did what virtually anyone would have done with a show that had just been re-vamped, but was getting poor viewing figures and poor audience feedback.

Heh, I'd like to think that "Delta" was his favorite because he was playing well off
of the actress portraying Ray. She was in the running to become the new
assistant and lost out to Ace. Which was a damned shame, because the Seventh
Doctor's era might've been actually watchable with Sara Griffiths instead of
    Sophie Aldred.
