With the North American covers, the only reason they are kept simple is because the people responsible for creating the covers do not get good images to work with from the BBC. Sometimes they get a postage stamp sized photo to use to generate a cover. This is why the region one covers are sometimes so bland.

The Spider Queen was in Planet of the Spiders. The character in The Runaway Bride was the Empress of the Racnoss.

Hugh Grant went on to say that he would like to play a baddie, not that he has been cast.

Yeah, that came from a Heat Magazine story in November of 2002, in which Elizabeth Hurley was discovered buying some Doctor Who DVDs at Harrods. She told the staff of the famous department store that she loved Doctor Who "but only with Jon Pertwee". Not sure how reliable a source Heat is, though.
