Hey, Louis... Was that "Did Freema Agyeman change her hair style?", "I hadn't noticed." exchange a subtle McCoy-Kirk quote from Wrath of Khan? Or am I just too big a sci-fi geek?

Hmmm, sometime in March... maybe not.

I enjoyed Mike's interview with Stevan Moffat. Thanks Mike!

Loved the Skeptical Diaries review of Human Resources. Very entertaining, and possessed a viewpoint that I missed in my listening of the series on BBC7's Listen Again. As I get the CDs from Big Finish, I'll relisten to them with some of those views in mind.

Re. Doctor Who: The Movie, FOX had two potential SciFi series at the time, an in-house production timeline jumping series—Sliders or a more expensive out of house production (Doctor Who). We ended up with FOX going the cheaper route.

Sorry to pick up on what James said about Red Nose Day - but I belive ALL the money raised goes to charity - not just 60%.

All in all another good Podshock - and I'm not just saying that because I got another mention :-)

    Cheers, daveac

Episode 71 - Still too long
Authored by: biffster on Thursday, April 05 2007 @ 12:23 PM EDT
I'm glad to see the length of the podcast down to between 90-100 minutes instead of the old days when it seemed like every episode was closer to 120 minutes. But the 90 minutes is still too long. I don't think I've ever listened to an entire episode... As huge a Doctor Who fan I am (and don't test me: I am wearing a TARDIS key pendant on a necklace!), it's just too hard to listen to all of the show.

If at all possible, I'd recommend shooting for a 74-80 minute runtime. You can still get a lot of information in there, without wearing out your listeners.
