I totally agree with you about them protecting content when seasons are out of sync. What bothers me though is when we can't view US series from Canada, even though we air them at exactly the same time, on exactly the same night, sometimes even earlier. As an example, we can see Lost here in Canada, one hour earlier than it gets aired in the US. Don't ask me how we swung that but somebody must have paid for it.
