Actually, I was looking more at that very feature, Taras, and I think you're
right. Next week, I think we should try using the chat request feature (the
equivalent of raising our hands in class), and then maybe Louis could use the
queue feature to give us a better idea of when to talk. I started out that last
Podshock pretty much synched up with everyone, but then as the thing
progressed I slid behind a bit and it was really hard to judge when to jump in.
I think maybe we're all working under the assumption that TalkShoe is like a
regular telephone conference call or Skype conferencing, when really it's more
like having a mass conversation using Walkie Talkies. If someone is talking,
then you talk, there seems to be a moment where the "competition" between
speakers blocks out the audio. From a purely technical standpoint, it seems
like TalkShoe doesn't give us a roundtable so much as serial conversation.
