"street price" is going to be before making judgement though. Even the
new Battlestar Galactica DVD box sets of their seasons which don't carry
the usual 26 or so episodes in a season are not as high as $100, and
people were already complaining about them being overpriced for the
amount of episodes included.
But coming from the 'old days' of collecting movies and television series
on laser discs (LD) and such, and paying $30 for only 2 episodes of the
original Star Trek series... the Doctor Who set is still "a bargain" in
comparison. I remember the days that I was spending $100 or close to it
just for one 2-hour movie without any extras included.
Having said that, yes, in TODAY's marketplace that is a bit high for a box
set of 13 episodes.
