Sure, but the Sci Fi Channel has a financial interestin in Doctor Who succeeding too... otherwise why buy it?
And it can replace Battlestar Galactica once its season is over.
It makes no sense to me for them to buy a show, and then not promote it, making not even the least effort to help ensure the show doesn't tank.
After all, this is SciFi, not Fox.
