Of course some speculation is okay but I think there are two issues when it comes to speculation.
I think when reviewing we have to be careful not to spend too high a percentage of time looking forward rather than looking back at the episode we just watched. As a general rule if you're talking more about next week than this week it's too much. This is something I've been guilty of.
There is so much information out there and we are so close to the finale that things can be said that might seem innocuous or purely speculative but end up being the final piece that unintentionally blows it for somebody. It's not a level playing field and not everyone has the same knowledge and simply hearing where some people who might know a bit draw the line can give away more than intended. Somebody could even just pull an idea out of the air but when you hear it it clicks with something else.
Speculating in week one about how Martha will turn out over the course of the season and we're all mostly equal is one thing but speculating about weeks 12 & 13 when you're in week 11 and some people know quite a bit more than others can be dangerous.
