Ken, you mentioned you'd love to see Patrick Stewart playing a villain onscreen -- I'm assuming, then, that you've never seen the 1980 BBC video of the RSC HAMLET, in which he is the evil Claudius (the role he's reprising now opposite David Tennant!)? The bonus for DOCTOR WHO fans is that Hamlet himself is played by Derek Jacobi -- and their Ophelia is none other than Lalla Ward!
But for an even better Patrick Stewart villain onscreen, you must see him as the utterly heartless Marcus Sejanus in the BBC miniseries I, CLAUDIUS -- which of course is also full to the brim with actors we've also enjoyed on DOCTOR WHO -- including Derek Jacobi again (as Claudius), and the always-wonderful Brian Blessed as Caesar Augustus, to name only two...
