I've forgotten most of the details of this play, as I struggled through my first listen. I really could not get into this story. For the reviewer's complaint of the similarity of Big Finish's recent output one needs just look at the last four Seventh Doctor stories. The mood and main concepts seem to just be rehashed from story to story. Only The Settling seems to have enough to let it rise above the others. Hopefully, the shakeup at Big Finish will result in a better range of output, but only time will tell.
