-cs™
Yes! Yes! Yes! Horror of Fang Rock is my all-time favorite story. Would love to see them again!
I'm stoked about this and can't wait! I've always liked the Sontarans and look forward to seeing how they are developed now. I just hope they are not re-envisioned.
it's a good hope, but I cannot imagine RTD not "re-imaging" the monsters. He's pretty much done that with everything, even if only slightly.

It seems likely that RTD will... or at the very least update them a bit given his track record since bringing the series back to television. I just hope it is not too far off from what was already established.

Yup. If the Sontarans are going to be in the new series, better break out the Jell-o molds!
:-)
(I was happy enough to have them mentioned in "Eye of the Gorgon")
Sean.
Could you imagine what they could do with them both with today's makeup and visual fx?
My dreams may come true.
I just hope they are not re-envisioned.
I think they'd almost have to be re-envisioned, at least somewhat. Remember the preview clip released prior to Series 3, when most of us thought the Judoon were Sontarans? It wasn't until the BBC confirmed otherwise that we knew they weren't. I think classic Sontarans would clash too much with the new Judoon, so RTD will have to distinguish the two species somehow.

by making them MUCH shorter! Mike from the young ones is VERY small. he played Sils mate... thats hiw small he is!
The Sontarans are short and bulky.
So that will distinguish them from the Judoon no matter what.
I predict The Doctor will make a ref to the Judoon.

I understand a somewhat new 'look' to the Sontarans. I don't see a problem with aesthetically making a few minor changes. I just don't want a significant change like Battlestar Galactica did with the Boomer character. By the time they were done, it wasn't the same character, just the same name.
