Okay watching Spearhead from Space Dvd. It's okay. BUT who isthat visitor to the Dotor wearing the strange hat, cape, and the clothes the Doc steals from him, as well as the car. I mean...he looks like A time lord dressed like that! SOmeone mentioned that it is a specialist calld in to examine the Doc's physiology but does that comefrm the tutitles on the dvd or the novel? ANd why is the guy dressed like that and drivng that old car?

That's funny you posted that, because I've been listening to the audio book read by Caroline John. According to the book, he's some specialist surgeon who came to see the Doctor (and hopefully "open him up and poke around"). It's been a while since I've watched the episode so I don't recall if they mentioned that in the actual broadcast story.
I ended up watching my DVD of it, too. I think they just refer to him as a "hospital bigwig" and Doctor Henderson offers to let him examine the Doctor.
