So, I'm listening to HHG to British Sci-Fi ep3 when the topic of Torchwood & BBC America was brought up.
I have BBC America with Dish Network. But at this point, I'm still expecting to take the red eyes that week.
Why? Because Dish Network doesn't carry BBC America in HD. And one of the ironies about a digital service combined with an HDTV is that SD channels tend to look even worse on a HDTV than if you had a CRT TV.
So, no, I won't be watching Children of Earth on BBCA. Maybe my wife will; or maybe I'll DVR it and play it back later, so the ratings system still recognizes I watched it.
But the new Torchwood in HD is going to look fantastic on my 22" widescreen monitor that I'll be hauling along for each flight.
Today (Friday, May 8th) I have noticed ads for the new episodes of "Torchwood". The ads say that they will air in July
Keep an eye out for them.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that this was BBC America that was running these ads.
