There were actually two films of "Little Shop of Horrors". The first had a young Jack Nicholson in a small role (starring Jonathon Haze (and was in black and white (1960))) while the second one starred Rick Moranis (1986).

The second one was a musical while the 60's version was played for laughs. The 60's version is now available through public domain because the producer (Roger Corman) failed to copyright the film. The 86 version is still under copyright.

BTW: The second movie is based on the musical, that was based on the '60 movie.
