I was browsing Wikipedia a while ago, and here are some things it said about the Runaway Bride.
1. The Daily Star has reported that the special is a three-parter to be shown over the Christmas period, and that the Doctor will come face-to-face with a "Cyberwoman". This does not appear to be consistent with other published reports.
2.Radio 1 has reported that Billie Piper might appear in the episode 'in one form or another'.
3.The Daily Mirror reported that Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 will appear in The Runaway Bride. The same report said that the special has a theme of "past, present and future" and described it as "a combination of A Christmas Carol and It's A Wonderful Life, set in London's West End — with scores of evil aliens."[10] This has not been confirmed by the BBC. In the same week, the BBC's internal newsletter Ariel reported that CBBC was developing a spin-off series featuring Sarah Jane.

2. I believe RTD has stated Rose will not be in it in any form - but when series 2 started he did tell us Rose was in series 3......

Firstly, a three-parter I highly doubt.
"Cyberwoman?" Who is it? Yvonne, back for more screen time? LOL
Billie coming back? Maybe. I agree in that who can really say, since at one time she WAS doing Series 3 - or so we were told. But if it's true - it's a mistake. Just brings down the impact of what we just got come the close of Series 2. And by the same token...
Sarah Jane and K-9? Eh, might be cool, but honestly, much of the wind would get taken out of "School Reunion's" sails if the Doctor and SJ just happen to run into each other again so quickly and casually in a story like this. It would make the special much cooler by default, no doubt, but again - as we've pretty much all agreed upon, the SJ/K-9 stuff is the obvious heart and soul of "School Reunion." Cheapen that here for ratings, and that episode will suffer as a result, retroactively.
I've heard the prior reports of the return of the "Robot Santas," as well as having seen the location pics over at "Outpost." Honestly? YAWN. C'mon, give us something NEW. I can't help but feel a little cheated by them recycling stuff again just to make it clever somehow so that people will then accept it as "planned" since they first showed up last year, or something to that effect. Not saying I won't ultimately, but still - sort of a letdown up front. They were ok in last year's special, but were just there for window-dressing. If it's the same thing all over again, that'll be bad. And I can't see how the writer(s) can give them real menace and purpose over the Sycorax last year - they were only a second-hand threat to start with.
Who - ha ha - knows. All will be certain come December 25th.

re: Billie will be back in some form or other. While I doubt it, this could really mean that they'll play one of her songs in the background - or have her record the Christmas song that Murray G is writing. Or we could just see a photo of her somewhere....
I was thinking along the same lines. Very easy for the Doctor to quietly think for a second, reflecting on Rose.

Hmm... and since the Doctor would be in his tenth regeneration, even if she sees him, she won't think it is the same guy she meets in the basement with the Autons.
Still, the only way I can see Rose being in it is via flashbacks... even if it is new material that was shot just before she left the series.

can I just lower the whole tone of the thread by pointing out that two of these sources make very good substitutes for toilet paper, assuming the ink is dry and the other one is a brand of excrement... or was that it broadcasts excrement... one or the other.
I long ago got bored with Fleet Streets finest constant run of we know whats been written into the storyline next stories. These are the same papers that waste millions of tons of trees each year about whats happening in the Big Brother house today or which is the latest Slim Legged Anorexic Girl to get herself plastic boobs or got caught snorting pepsi or which member of the disfunctional royale family dressed as a nazi today.
I think you'll find that absolutely non of these things or characters appear in the show no matter how many parts its got.

In retrospect, it looks like they got the details, but mixed up the shows/episodes that things will appear in. Three part story must refer to the last three of Series Three.
We saw a Billie flashback in Utopia.
Sarah Jane and K-9 were in the Sarah Jane "Christmas" special.
We had Robot santas back.
The dots were there, just not connected.
