McCoy's umbrella, because you could hang off an ice cliff for no reason and survive using its curved handle... I can't remember any walking stick cliffhangers...
Tom Baker's artist's pallette pin (City of Death, I think) or Colin Baker's cat pin?
EDIT: sorry, took a long time writing this... |

Key to Time Guardians. Because Sean Huxter probably had them more in mind when he made Key to TIme 2.

Ten's pinstripes, Nine's looked like it'll be uncomfortable in warm weather.

"Reverse the Polarity of the Neutron Flow" -- it has become so iconic with it's association with Doctor Who (specifically the Pertwee era of course). I believe Jon Pertwee even incorporated it in his cabaret performances if I recall correctly.
The Seeds of Death
or
The Seeds of Doom ??

| According to Terrance Dicks Jon suggested it because he could sing it to the tune of The Sailor's Hornpipe.
Seeds of Doom, it started as a pastiche of the scifi/horror classic The Thing From Another World.

The Curse of Peladon was infinitely superior. It was original, fun, gothic and yet completely sci-fi. I read and reread the target book as a child.

Nobody liked the last question so I'll answer it myself and post a new one to keep us busy while there's no new who.
Answer: Naughty Ice Warriors cos I loved them on the target book cover when I was a kid with image of Victoria screaming. It was the only way that I could access these adventures.
New question:
The second Doctor or the Third Doctor? |

Third Doctor. Easy one for me. He IS the Doctor for me, the first one I saw, the one to whom all others are compared. And, of course, there was that girl...but I suspect all of you know that story...

| I just did some quick research, and you can hear the whole story on Podshock 18, starting about 35 minutes into the episode... |

For me it has to be the second doctor - those are the stories which stood out most vividly when I nead the novels as a kid and I always loved the pairing of Jamie and Victoria. For me he was the 'monster doctor' and those stories real appealed to me.
Also the show could have died right there and then if Patrick Troughton hadn't proven that it could survive a change of lead. The next eight doctors owe it all to him I think.

Definitely the cybermats - I remember the fear they instilled in me in Revenge of the Cybermen (surely the fore-runner of the spidery things in Alien!)
