Anyone else going to this? I couldn't miss it with it being "in my back yard" so to speak.
This is one of the few sci-fi cons that I heard about BEFORE it happened. |

I know Ken spoke about perhaps going up there... I don't know if still plans on going or not. He may.

If that's the one in Massachusetts, I'm definitely thinking about it.
Especially now that McCoy is going to be there.
Yeah, I think I'll go. Was looking forward to seeing Patrick Stewart, but not the main reason I'm going.

Sure thing about the pix - I'll be taking my camera. However, Ken is going to be there (last I knew, anyway) so I don't want to step on his toes bringing you guys a con report if he's going to do it.

Then take his pic when you see him  Who knows he may deputize you to give a report for us, besides if there is lots going on there, I am sure you can cover stuff he isn't. Always nice to hear what different people have to say, too. |

| Absolutely! I am not sure if Ken is going or not, I would say it is good possibility. But regardless how many of us are going, we always welcome your feedback and take on the convention. After all, we could have 5 people going and we will have 7 different viewpoints of the convention in the end. |

I have to say that Ken, you missed out on a great con! I did record a review for Podshock, which I'm working with Louis how to get it to you guys as the file is so large my server won't let me send it.
This was one of the best cons I've been to. Much better than the "regular" cons put on by the big companies - Creation and the like. I highly recommend everyone to go to next year's con.

Sounds like a great con! Yeah, I think I would have preferred that con or any con that is fan-run more so than the more commercial conventions. I got frustrated with Creation back in the 80's with their "cookie-cutter" conventions... every convention followed the same exact format.
I will work on getting your audio report.. and let you know what to do. It shouldn't be a problem. I am looking forward to it. Thanks again!

I was planning on attending, but when I e-mailed them for an itenerary, I didn't get a response. This was important to me because the main reason I was going to attend was for McCoy.
Not knowing which days or when he was appearing, I felt no need to spend the money on a con I could only be at for a single day. I had to plan that day carefully.
With no help from the con, I had no choice but to bail.

FWIW, Mr. McCoy was there all weekend, and had Q&A, photo, and autograph sessions on Saturday and Sunday, as well as Mira Furlan and Matthew Lewis. The only two guests that did not appear both days were Rachel Luttrell and Leonard Nimoy.
Also, scuttlebutt around the con was that Patrick Stewart, who promised to attend next year's convention to make up for the fact he had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts this year, would most likely run into the same scheduling conflicts next year. I guess he currently holds a teaching or admin position at a college in England. However, the peeps are trying to set up a separate mini-con just with Patrick Stewart sometime in the spring to make up for it.
