Goto hotels.com and look up the convention hotel. It'll show you a map with nearby hotels. You can browse those for price.
The most inexpensive way to do these cons is to room with a friend and split costs. --Billy |

| Don't start packing up your cargo shorts, flip-flops, and t-shirts just yet. I know last year's convention was pleasantly sunny with temps steadily around 72F but, this year's extended forecast calls for showers, showers, and more showers. We're talking possible highs around high 50s/low 60s. I'm still hoping the weather conditions will change (it's been raining in L.A. for a few days now), but anyone traveling to the convention might want to bring along an umbrella and a good jacket. |

Michael (Tin Dog Podcast) and daveac, I do truly wish you were both attending Gallifrey this year. It would have been an absolute honor to finally meet you both and shake your hands.
You shan't be forgotten this weekend, especially in the pub/bar as glasses are being raised in traditional toasting fashion.
Just promise me that you'll make the trip next year! |

Hey guys, I expect the LA weather will mean nothing to us. There will be so much going on insidedie the hotel that we may not even go outside unless food (other than bar food) calls to us.
Wow its getting close!
Okay what essentials do we pack. I have my White Robot costume, camera, video camera, Doctor Who T-shirts. . .oh I do have to save some room for regular clothes don't I? --Billy |

I couldn't agree more about the weather. I never left the hotel the entire weekend last year except for one quick run to Carl's Jr. down the street. In fact, this year I might try and brown bag it for the first few nights (I gotta save money for merchandise and liquid refreshment).
I'm also going to try and bring a digital camera and a camcorder, although I was saddened to read that the convention doesn't allow personal videos of the panels to appear on youtube. |

We are here at Gallifrey! I am guessing Ken should be here too now, though I haven't seen or heard from him yet. I hope his flight was not delayed. I saw Mike Doran earlier. Damon Querry of the Behind of the Sofa podcast is here too, though we missed each other just before at Starbucks, we have been tweeting to each other.
Cheers,

No sooner than after I posted my last message here, Ken rang me up that he was at the hotel. I found him.
