Let's face it, it was cr@p.
I have a slight fondness for it, but only because the VHS boxset (in a wonderful tardis tin) was the first Doctor Who related present my wife bought for me.
However, it is hard to overcome the staggering medeocrity of it all. Then there is Mel (whom I enjoy in the few Big Finish audios that she's Done but hate in the TV series).

| I just have to say that I don't see why everyone disses TTOATL so much. I rather enjoy it, and the stories at the very least aren't any worse than the occasional clunker throughout the history of the series (and better than say Underworld or Sunmakers). The Doctor/companion relationship (for both) is definitely better than the previous season. However, I will admit that Mel is a bit OTT occasionally. I like the Doctor/Valeyard/Master dynamic. It presented a different angle of conflict for the two longer standing adversaries. |

Now, Big Finish will be reimagining the cancelled season 23, so this may actually be a more interesting topic. |

| That is great if Big Finish picks up the ball and roll with we will have to wait and see.It seems that alot of times the Doctor is always on trial in one way or the another,by his people or others.Season 23 was a great try at setting up a season arc for four stories for one season(the war games was ten eps..but not a whole season, but also with a regenaration)Too bad we did'nt have a true regenaration at the end. |
