The Classic Series section of the BBC website seems to have undergone a design change. For further details see here

Yeah, wonder if this means there's now just one single logo for the whole franchise. Guess we'll know when the next classic episode (where the cover hasn't already been designed) is released on DVD.

It recently has had another new section added, a primer on the series for newbies. It's actually a really cool audio-visual presentation on basic aspects of the mythos.

And it leads me to wonder about something. When you click on the "COMPANIONS" area, a little presentation comes up detailing past companions. Yet what's interesting is that it doesn't choose to do every single companion. It choses what appears to be only those that are relevant to RTD Who. So ya get K9, SJS, and UNIT. What's odd is that it next moves all the way back to Susan, going what I think is out of its way to point out she was his granddaughter. Does this have any significance, I wonder? Does it mean, perhaps, that Susan will become directly relevant to RTD who? Will Susan be reappearing? Or is this just put in to help explain the "Fear Her" line that reveals the Doctor was a father?

It's mildly interesting in the "which one of these isn't like the others" kind of a way . . .

It also has a neat description of the McGann era that I've never heard put so succinctly before: "There are many stories told of what happens [after the telemovie], but due to the Time War, we don't know how many are true." That's a really cool way of putting it, I think.

I think your second assumtion is correct but then again I can't say for sure since I'm not on the inside at the BBC. Although I wish I were Big Grin
