Mine arrived on Saturday as well, but since I was away for the weekend, I didn't see the box until my return last night...

The new Wizard magazine has the First Series Box Set in it's listings for upcoming dvds.
It's nice to see that in a comics mag, hopefully it'll get some more people interested in the series. |

.
By the way... the 2005 Complete Series R1 DVD Box Set from Amazon Canada cost me about $83 or $84 in total (including shipping).. that is what was charged to my card after currency exchange...
So it is probably a tad cheaper than WhoNA considering the amount I paid includes shipping.
Cheers,
Louis

I was charged US$ 87.75. It looks like the Canadians like you more than me...

I was going to wait for the US version to come out, realizing that yes, it would be the same as the Canadian version; but I was hoping for my purchase to be like a "vote" to get the next series available in the US sooner... Now I'm not sure I want to wait! I especially want to see the Confidentials larger than that postal stamp size that I've been watching from the bbc.co.uk site.
Ya'll have definitely inspired me to do a little cross border online commerce (or just road trip up to Manitoba and buy it in a store...) |

| Well I listened to the commitary on the ep Rose, and I wasn't impressed with the commitary for it. When I have more time I'm going ot listen to the commitary on the other episode. Probably once I'm out of school. so about 2 months time. I'm just glad that it came in a different packaging than that of the UK one. |

Currency exchange rates fluctuate every day and not every financial institution offers the exact same rate even on the same day. That means that different people may end up paying a different price even if they order on the very same day.
Lately the Canadian dollar has been worth around 0.85-0.87 cents US. For Canadians this is great...only four years ago the dollar had dipped as low as 0.62 cents US. The result has been a lot fewer Americans ordering stuff from Canada. In the past I knew people that were ordering as much as they could from Canada because it was so much cheaper.

I have located an easter egg on Disc four. You go to the "SET UP" spot and push the down arrow on your player and a orange roundel will appear. Press that to get to the easter egg.

| Hmm...I looked thoroughly through all the discs a few weeks ago, and there doesn't seem to be any apart from that one...will be very interested if others are found, but I doubt any more exist. |

| I'm confused. How's that an Easter Egg? It's already on the disc elsewhere. Or are we counting the last two seconds as "the surprise"? That's gotta be one of the worst Easter Eggs ever on any DVD. Fortunately, it's the only thing I can think of that mars this otherwise excellent set.
Sadly, though, that would appear to be it, at least according to the keeper of the definitive "Frequently Asked Questions List for Doctor Who Video in North America" site. He's usually very good about getting all the Easter Eggs, and that's it. |
