Other Void ships? (possible spoilers) Views: 684

    A theory I had yesterday...
Since the Cult of Skaro is charged with "thinking like the enemy" could their Void Ship be an idea taken from one of the other races in the Time War (like the Time Lords)? If so, might there be Time Lords (or allies) who escaped destruction just like the Cult did?

The whole planet Gallifrey was essentially turned into a void ship as it slipped into the void and the Doctor only assumes it was destroyed until one day when reemerges from the void.

Of course, this is only my own fanciful speculation and possible theory on the "loss" of Gallifrey post Time War. There's more where that came from. Wink

Yeah, I would say anything is possible... there could be other Time Lords out there that the Doctor can not sense.

    Cheers,
    Louis

    Here is my theory:

I think that the Time Lords did invent a Void Ship of sorts, as we have seen TARDIS' slip through into different Universes over the course of the years. I am not sure that there are any Time Lords hiding in the void (but you never know). I do however, think that what the Dalek's had was a stolen bit of technology from the Time War, just as the prison ship was.

We have seen the Daleks take technology and try to use it before and they never seem to get it right, hence the Void Ship smashing through time and space and making the fracture(s). It was this mis-use of the technology that caused the TARDIS to fall into Pete's World. As the void ship smashed its way into our Universe the TARDIS was travelling and hit the damage and rebounded into Pete's World.

Well that is what I think anyway.

    P.

A man is the sum of his memories, a Time Lord even more so...
