Do you think Jack was talking about himself? I assumed he was talking about Rose. Though, it would make sense that Jack has a yen for him as well. |

Yes, I assumed he was referring to himself... I never even thought about Rose, since I don't think the Doctor/Rose relationship really fits into the "You fancy someone and they don't notice you" category... He definitely noticed Rose... |

I took it as a wink towards his own continuing crush on the Doctor. He did, after all, begin firting with the Ninth Doctor almost right away. He's carried his own torch... er... wood... oh, you know... |

I also thought the "kinda cheeky" comment in "Utopia" was a sign of his renewed crush on the Doctor... |

Now that you've all put that together in my head, it does make sense -- and I like it. I'm so glad Jack was back to his devil-may-care, roguish self. I missed that during his strang und durm days in Torchwood. |

Sorted out a (zoomed) screen cap of the Master at the airbase with the coat (cloak like coat) with the Red lining that seems to be a nod to the Third Doctor.

Cheers, daveac

[Quote by: Louis] | [Quote by: DarthSkeptical] The speakers/microphone in the reception hall of "The Runaway Bride" were also supposedly Magpie products. But again, I ask, how the hell did the name Magpie survive if the heirless man did not? Especially considering he left the shop a financial shambles after selling tons of TVs for just a fiver? |
|
Perhaps it is a completely different company/business which had some sort of emotional bond to the name or felt it had some sort of name recognition with the public and is using the name today.
Similar to some company names or product names in use today such as Atari, Amiga, Pan Am, etc. that are being used today not by their originating company/business. |
|
Or maybe a rival electronics dealer was having trouble competing, especially when Magpie was selling sets for so cheap, and when Magpie bit the dust the rival bought up the company and kept the name that everyone was familiar with. |

| Nobody's really mentioned about anything about her, what does everyone think about Lucy Saxon? I'm interested to find out why exactly she supports the Master. And, also, I'm sort of in love with her. |

| I know these don't usually pan out, but has anyone tried an anagram search for "Toclafane" yet??? (Not sure of the actual spelling of the word.) |

End of season parallels: Season 2 vs Season 3 Deja Vu
1) Enemy appearing in mysterious sphere(s) (Daleks vs Toclafane)
2) Mysterious machine based on Timelord Technology awaiting explanation in finale (Infinity Arc vs Paradox Machine)
3) Huge killing invasion force arrives at end of penultimate episode (Cyberman mysteriously appear from thin air vs Toclafane mysteriously appear from thin air)
4) Sinister government agency in charge and have stolen the Tardis (Torchwood versus the Master's Government)
5) Two enemies present at the end of penultimate episode (Daleks and Cybermen versus Master and Toclafane)
6) Doctor and companion separated at end of penultimate episode and under threat from different enemies (Doctor with cybermen/Rose with Daleks versus Ancient Doctor with Master/Martha with invading Toclafane armada)
7) Entire world has been taken over by enemy force and must be liberated in last episode(cybermen versus Master/Toclafane)

Also, did anyone else notice the cloister bell going off inside the TARDIS? I was glad to hear it again (sort of). |

Toclafane = Lo! A Fan, etc.
Toclafane = Eat falcon!
Toclafane = Fatal cone
Toclafane = Fact: no ale
Toclafane = Oat-Can Elf
Toclafane = Face Talon
That's all I can think of. |

| Returning to Lucy Saxon for a minute, why does she cross her fingers when the Master says that time and time again aliens came, "and the government told you nothing." Is there a lie there I'm missing, or is that a mystery for episode 13? |

You can see much more of her in a British / Australian co-production called Tripping Over starring none other than Paul McGann. |
