Well remember it was 'Mister Saxon' so perhaps you should start with 'Misses Saxon'

Isn't it spelled "m-i-s-s-u-s"? And fwiw, I don't think it means anything. RTD did the whole anagram thing with The Master, but I don't think he'd do it twice...that'd be too obvious. Now he'll probably get us examining every possible combination of letters for every show mystery from now on. But it's still funny to see some words we can extract anyway...

My personal favourite! New BBC TV show from the makers of Hustle starring Lucy Saxon as an unhinged Rodine girl sent back in time to the Era of the Suffragettes.

Is she mad? In a coma? Or really back in time? and as a final question, does her bum look big in that?

"Mrs." is the abbreviation of the early 17th century meaning of the word "Mistress", which itself derives from the same Old French word as "Master". Thus, a Mistress was the "female Master" of the house; i.e., a wife. Interesting that while the word still connotes power in non-sexual situations (Headmistress, etc.), sexually it now means just the opposite of what it did: a man's extra-marital sexual partner.

The informal of the word, and the form most think "Mrs." spells out, is "Missus" (with an alternate American spelling of "Missis").
