MAJOR SPOILER - you have been warned

although somehow I doubt it will be possible to keep away from this bit of news

And just in case you want it in brief (drag mouse between square brackets) [Billie Piper is to return as Rose Tyler in 3 episodes in series 4]

It looks like this is now information that it's going to be impossible to avoid between now and broadcast unless you stay away from all news sites, all discussion sites and all media coverage. The BBC has now issued a general press release. It's been in the press it's currently on the front page of OG and I expect it will be on the front of DWM before long and will warrant a RT cover story before broadcast.

In the UK it's hard to miss as it was on the front page of at least one morning paper.

Just saw this news also. I'm not really surprised, though somewhat disappointed. I guess I'll reserve my final judgment till I see how this all comes about.

By the time this happens Ill be amazed if there's a single poster on this forum that doesnt already know! My girlfriend doesnt even like Doctor Who and it was the first thing she mentioned when I woke up this morning. I've also had a couple of texts from different people. You may as well give in now if you're hoping to avoid finding out! Even if you didnt have a clue, the thread title would probably do it.

it's officially confirmed by the BBC, so it is obvioulsy false, as everything they deny is usually true.

Maybe she is going to play Davros.

LOL... I was going to post the same message here. So they are confirming her return, but they will not confirm any of the circumstances of how it happens.

I am content to wait and see. Hey, it could be nothing more than a flashback for all we know.

    Cheers,
    Louis

I've read somewhere it'll be the Doctor-lite episode and the former companion with 3 names will be in it too!

My wife loves Rose. She's the reason I got her watching Doctor Who in the first place. I'll be happy to see her again, but I'm surprised they are doing this so quickly. I really can't wait to see how this season unfolds. There are lot of plot points we already know about and trying to roadmap the pieces together is maddening!

Taken from the bbc dr who site...

    Billie Is Back!
    Billie Is Back!
Rose Tyler returns for Series Four.

Following a series of unconfirmed reports across the media this morning, we're delighted to officially confirm that Billie Piper will return as Rose Tyler in Series Four of Doctor Who.

Anything you may read elsewhere about when, how or for how long Rose returns to Doctor Who should be treated as pure speculation at this point.

True..... except, there are pictures of her filming in Cardiff with Catherine Tate so they've gone to a lot of trouble to fake it Mr. Green
