I'm not going to give too much away because i dont know anything, but i was just reading some casting notes on the 10th Episode in 2008 named 'Midnight' and it seems David Troughton will be starring. Although he wont be wearing a wig and reprising his father Patrick's role as the 2nd Doctor, nor will he be playing the Doctor's actual son, but i'm just enjoying the quirkiness that in 2 episodes this year we have the offspring of different Doctor's playing huge parts Big Grin
    It states on wiki:
He has appeared in Doctor Who three times previously, as an uncredited extra in the first, fifth, and sixth episodes of the Second Doctor serial The Enemy of the World;as Private Moor in Episode Six of the Second Doctor serial The War Games and as King Peladon in all four episodes of the Third Doctor serial The Curse of Peladon.

    Your thoughts peeps?

Hmm... We just need an episode starring Sean Pertwee. I know he is busy and is involved a great deal of productions, but I would hope he could make some time to appear in Doctor Who.

Better yet, let's get an episode with all three of them in the same one. Hmm... any other past actors to play the Doctor have any offspring who went into the acting field?

Well Paul McGann's son, Jake, is a frequent minor co-star on his dad's Big Finish recordings, and is effectively apprenticing under his father prior to reaching the age necessary for drama school.

And if we broaden out to include all family members, any of McGann's three surviving brothers could handle a role on Doctor Who..

"I think of myself as ambitious in casting terms, and I know that Bonnie [Langford] has the potential to make the part totally unirritating . . ." JNT, 1986

Wow, i read your last paragraph first Darth, and taken out of context, that's quite deep and alarming, but you're obviously talking about McGann and not Mcann! Oops!
