[Quote by: tarashnat] [Quote by: Starman] Brilllliant!! As you say - best kept secret ever.

Not really a well kept secret. It is just that it didn't make the papers... there has been talk about this for weeks in certain forums. Thankfully, not here, though. |
|
I do try to not read too much about forthcoming episodes towards the end of a series just in case it spoils the enjoyment and surprises. I even managed to stop myself from viewing the extra trailers on the BBC website, as well. What self control!! |

| Of course, WOW. Although some Christmas'08 episode rumours and pictures aside that may answer some questions, what about the issue of the Time War? Does the fact that Dalek Khan went back to the Time War mean that we might actually get to see it? The future specials maybe? |

I want to be cryogenically frozen and re-awoken so that only mere moments seem to have passed before I see the next episode!!!
Last week was the first RTD episode of the last two series that I absolutely loved - and he's raised the stakes again this week.
Absolutely brilliant. When the credits came up both me and my wife shouted "NO!!!" at the telly!
Maybe there'll be a cellular regeneration using the hand-in-the-jar so that he regenerates into himself. Well, it MIGHT happen! |

| Did anybody else find the Shadow Proclamation meeting room to be a little lacking? I swear I saw an old-fashioned ceiling light in the background during a few shots. I haven't seen an outer-space office so poorly fashioned since The Two Doctors. |

| I heard rumors from a pretty good source that the hand will have a big part to play in the next ep. Looking forward to it! |

It could be that the future specials are flashback episodes and he DOES regenerate.
I'm struggling with this one. I don't want him to regenerate, but if he doesn't I'll feel cheated. It's a big bluff which has never been done before. |
|
P.S. It is of course possible that this message is a trap. If it is I can deal with it. P.P.S. I'm leaving this note in case I can't!

Firstly a Great, Great episode!
And I didn't see that coming at the end.
Loved it!
But I think RTD is 'pulling our chain' as I think there is a way around this re-generation.
I think Captain will break open the 'hand jar' and put the hand into the Doctor's hand thereby making the Doctor re-generate back into himself.
Cheers, daveac
Oh and again - a great episode
EDIT - as Taras infers - a bluff

WELL DONE!!! I tip my chapeau in RTD's direction!!!
From a writer's point-of-view, I never thought this episode could possibly work. It looked like the penultimate "kitchen sink" episode better suited as a marketing campaign rather. And despite a few minor quibbles, I was absolutely wrong!
I agree with Dave about this week's cliffhanger. Hey, if I can watch Tom Baker get killed (drowning) in The Deadly Assassin (I guess one could also bring up the Abbot of Amboise and a few other instances), I can see the Doctor begin a regeneration only to have it snatched away from him. |

Why did the Doctor say to Donna near the start 'In your Universe' rather that 'In our Universe' ?

Today's Lesson... If you should ever find yourself reunited with a long lost loved one, and you begin to run towards each other, and you find it is taking longer than you think it should....chances are something very bad is going to happen before you find yourselves in a warm embrace of joy. Oh and look both ways in case there are Daleks...
All I can say is that this episode had me doing my best impression of the Doctor after Donna ended up in the Tardis at the end of Doomsday... What? ... What? WHAT?! |
|
Coming to theaters this fall, Frau Blücher and Harpo Marx star in 'The Shadow Proclamation'!

Well, not the best kept... But very good... I kept my lips sealed. Remember, "no spoilers," so I kept silent in my own library.

Does that mean you know what's going to happen next week, Louis? You can tell an old friend. Give me a hint... give me something. I can't wait a whole week. It's just not fair |

All I'm gonna say is if next week's episode starts with the caption "One Year Later", I'm chucking the TV out the window! |
