Season 4 DVD box set variant? Views: 2769

[Quote  by:  deckard973] I can’t seem to find the extra ending to Journey’s End with the Cybermen. How do I access it?

The only thing I can think of is the trailer for the Christmas special that was aired when "Jouney's End" aired... or maybe it was the unused footage that was to be like the lead-in for the new story (like the Titanic crashing through in "The Last of the Time Lords" or Donna being in the TARDIS at the end of "Doomsday"). Since the last episode was so long the scene with the Cybermen was cut out.

It was mentioned before but I can't remember where I heard it. I'm guessing that if it's put on the set then it will be hidden as an easter egg or put in as an alernate ending - that is... IF IT IS PUT ON THE DISK.

EDIT: I've done some looking on several EASTER EGG sites and found nothing... yet! I'll keep looking though.

EDIT 2: I found some info... It appears that the deleted scene is on Disc 4 of the box set and is includes the clip you're talking about. I don't know which region it is and I don't know how to access it unless it it is gotten through a menu on that disc.

I found a review of the set here:
    http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/35335/doctor-who-the-complete-fourth-series/

Forgive me for not making it a link but I don't know how to do that so, you can just copy and paste if you want.

The original Cybermen ending to Journey's end is on Disc
4 (Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead/Midnight) of the boxset under Deleted Scenes, it's the last one.

The boxset variant (orange version, the other side has the supreme dalek on it) is actually out in Australia too. We have both versions, ranging in price from $76.95 to $89.95 at the moment

    bye bye david :(
