I'll admit I was rather "glib" in my previous statement.

It's just that we have been waiting for a new "Who" since December and I'm more than ready for it - flaws and all (if any).

To me these "dry spells" make even bad episodes seem good.

Video segment on BBC Breakfast this morning with Russell T Davies talking about Planet of the Dead.

(Very minor spoilers -- obviously nothing major, this is RTD)

Oh, it seems that the BBC is allowing embedding on this video. I didn't even check as I hadn't seen them ever offer that option. So here goes:

    The next one's due "November-ish"!

AWW. I don't want to wait that long for a new one. That's seven months away.

IT's hard enough waiting through the time after the Christmas Special to the new season (series). But, that's only about 4 months.

EDIT: Oh well. It could be worse. At least we do have the specials coming as opposed to nothing at all.

Bitter-sweet sensation because really we should be starting a new series tonight but then ...hey, how many shows are brave enough to take a year out and at least it's new who and I've got a good feeling about this and...

I thought it was okay, not brilliant but certainly not terrible! It was a 'good old romp' as RTD described it!

Disapointed that we have to wait until Novmember for the next episode.

Wel I didn't like it much - one for the kids - but it looks like the next few will be darker.

The picture quality on BBC HD was nice :-)

    Mild spoiler

Well, I hate to say that I did not enjoy it. The one-off special, I believe, does not sit well with Dr Who, and does not allow much room for character developement. I don't feel any of the guys on the bus were developed in any way what-so-ever.

And am I the only person that gets annoyed when the sonic screwdriver gets a new use - turning regular glasses into dark glasses!!!!

Will write more once everyone has seen it.
