a related question that I asked some time back, but never saw a response to.
On the Eccleston series DVDs, do the Confidentials have all of the pop music that was on the broadcast versions? I know that when the classic doctor who footage was snipped, those songs were cut too, but the songs that were paired with current stuff...they still there? |

Thanks Taras, I found the song. When it comes to the confidentials I believe so but I will confirm that when I get home form work tonight and check the DVD again. To me the music makes the COnfidentials really enjoyable. I wonder who chooses the musc to put in the show ?

| Hearing about all the stuff snipped from the Confidentials on the DVD sets makes me appreciate my alternative DVDs even more. Especially the one that was made for Rise of the Cybermen. It was top notch. |

I hope they don't pull a Ricky for Mickey swap on us at the end of Age of Steel, though. I like our Mickey.

So, I was bored and playing (attempting to play) one of the BBC online games where you "help Mickey." Except this time you don't, you "help Rickey." Think this is just alternate reality stuff, OR they're telling us exactly what is going to happen? |

Just hypothetical but what if Ricky is killed battling the cybermen and Micky stays in the other dimension to care for his beloved Gran.
It could be a nice conclusion for Micky's character.
Bit of a waste though because I enjoy the friction between him and the doctor. |

Actually, this is what I highly suspect will happen. It is all set up for it to take place as such. We will see...

Interesting. I was thinking Mickey would die and Ricky would join the TARDIS crew, but this sounds more plausible. Although mad4plaid's mentioning the Help Ricky BBC game does add to the mystery.
I'll be a little bummed if Mickey dies or is left in the alternate reality. His character really grew on me. |

I do think I remember reading/hearing that Mickey will be here until the last episode of the season... of course, he could be picked back up from the alt. London, but if they got there by accident, it would be hard to get back again.....
definitely a little mystery to add into the upcoming week. |

Well they went out of their way in Rise of the Cybermen episode to explain that Mickey has no real family at home... So he is not going to be missed on "our" Earth if he stays behind on this alternate Earth. The whole grand situation with her being alive in this alternate Earth and all.. It seems a bit obvious that he may stay behind... Whether Rickey takes his place or dies, is another matter. But I tend to believe that Rickey will die and Mickey will take his place as Rickey in this alternative Earth.
But we will see soon enough.

you know, if that DID happen and Mickey took care of his Gran, would he be stranded? I mean, how much longer does his grandmother have? After she's gone, there would be no Rose for him.
I hope this doesn't happen. I like the character. I love the dynamic of two companions. |

Mickey does spend quite a bit of time with Jackie. And with alt-Pete and alt-Jackie splitting up, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

I believe Mickey already believes he lost Rose to the Doctor anyway... He had even tried seeing someone else (as referenced in Boom Town).
As seen in Rise... even the Doctor will choose Rose over him... he feels completely disconnected with everyone anyway.
