| yeah, sorry about the lack of spoiler warning; didnt mean to give away anything. I was just watching the episode of S1 where he describes himself as the oncoming storm and I agree with Badwolf that it is wierd that the roles have switched and possible the Daleks are now the "oncoming storm" |

Now let's hope Season 3 leaves the Earth behind... far behind. I think Season 3 should have 3 episodes that take place on Earth. The rest should really go back to Doctor Who's roots and take place on some cool alien planets for a change.
Sick sick sick to death of Earth.
Don't we watch space/time travelling science fiction to LEAVE Earth?
Sean.

Yes - I'm with you on that one.
Here Torchwood may come to our rescue - if that series is all about protecting Earth from Aliens - in the present-day at least - then there's no role (or need) for the Doctor to do so.
Further - there will be no - or less - need in the future as Torchwood grows.
That means Dr Who can take place much more off-world - with any Earth bound stories being set in our past.

| Looking once again at the trailer..... about two scenes after the bloke seems to be hit with a Dalek projected energy weapon there is a clip of the Doctor with what appears to be a Dalek sucker arm over his shoulder. Anyone else see it? |

I noticed that too, Terry Molloy in the final episode any one?
As some have pointed out this series is echoing the lastone, perhaps Rose will die by merging with the Tardis again to destroy the Daleks (and Cybermen), leaving the way open for a creative script writer to unkill her back out of the Eye of Harmony. |

For those who have not seen the trailor yet, and want to
click here for the trailer at youtubehere
One thing i have noticed, is that all the way through the doctor is smiling, whether that is just creative editing from the show, or whether that implies, as doctor whoovie said, that she maybe absorbs the energy, and that in his heart he knows where she is. I will leave the speculation for now, but i need someway of getting myself through this week!! |

Just rewatched the Army of Ghosts Trailer via YouTube.
Quality was not too great but is that a Dalek Sucker arm the Doctor has slung over his shoulder? |

I don't think so. The Doctor has a backpack type device on his back and it has a hose of some kind attached to it, and the end of the hose is slung over his shoulder. Since it was in a scene with one of the ghosts coming through the weakness, it would appear as though the doctor has a device of his own to gauge something to do with this ghost.

I am not so sure that the Daleks are the "Oncoming Storm" the reference that I picked up on was the wierd line about that at the end of the last series.
What I mean by weird is; do Daleks have legends? I have never heard reference to them. so the line was "out of place."
But when the Doctor mentioned a storm coming and the sight of the projected energy weapon in the trailer I started to wonder about the rumours for the last episode.
All along I have said that RTD is lacing the Torchwood references into the series as a red herring and I am wondering if we should have been waiting to references to a storm. |

Yes, the teaser was more exciting than the ep, but at the same time I felt it gave too much away. Though I may be the only person who feels that way. |

I seriously think that's Dalek plunger hooked up to some Ghostbuster-esque looking backpack. And I'll stand by that statement.
As for the hint dropped in the Inviso-text...be wary of everything you read on IMDB. But it'd be cool if it's right! |

| continuing the red herring line of thought, the trailor could of been edited to a degree that things are out of context to what we think, I don't think we would ever be able to tell, regardless of how many times we watch it, until the episode is aired, obviously. |

Hi guys. Long-time lurker on here and now, finally, "on board."
Figured there's no better time than now to get involved, as this season's finale looks to be immense. Had to share speculation and excitement over just what's coming.
I'll definitely add, from everything that's being said and the spoilers that continue to leak, we're in for something special. While I'll agree the last two eps. were not exactly "classics" by any means, I think any mediocrity we suffered through those will be redeemed once these two episodes air. I can't imagine they saved up all that greatness just to deliver a resounding "thud."
We'll see, though.
For all you spoiler hounds, an interesting pic leaked out over at "Ain't It Cool News," on their boards that I found VERY enlightening concerning the 2-part finale and how things might play out.
Here's a link, but I warn any tip-toers in this forum, this is MAJOR SPOILAGE - DO NOT PROCEED WITH EITHER READING THE LINK BELOW OR FOLLOWING IT IF YOU AREN'T COMPLETELY SERIOUS ABOUT SEEING WHO'S BACK BESIDES THE OBVIOUS!!! (that was my Dalek spoiler voice)
OK - last chance...

Interesting. That's all I'll say for now. VERY interesting. And Davros, too?
I can't wait much longer to see this. It's killing ME - not Rose. LOL
Cheers all! |
