    Blake's 7 back to back... Views: 651
     Thursday, April 10 2008 @ 03:28 PM EDT
I have spent the last four months (in Doctor Who's absence) watching the entire 52 episodes of Blake's 7 back to back. What a treat!

I had only previously seen the four original BBC videos that were released in the 90s.

I really enjoyed it and didn't want it to end. I can quite honestly say that I was shocked by the last episode - I really didn't see that coming.

I think series one was the best. S3 lagged a bit but they were back on form by series 4.

I seem to remember Louis and Ken talking about doing a Blake's 7 podcast a while ago; did it ever happen?

I anyone fancies some B7 chat, feel free to reply. Big Grin

P.S. It is of course possible that this message is a trap. If it is I can deal with it. P.P.S. I'm leaving this note in case I can't!

I remember having the bulk of the VHS tapes (NTSC) in my Amazon cart for ages. I am glad that I did not purchase them, as I eventually picked up the region 2 DVDs. Much less storage space than the two episodes per tape of the VHS releases...

I like how the first few episodes with the Liberator used a cardboard cutout for the effects shots because the model was not yet ready.

I think the B7 podcast is only available in the parallel universe. I believe it did not get recorded in our universe.

It's in a state of "quantum flux" (it can only be played when you're not listening to it). Would love to collapse that wavefunction and get it to my iPod, though... Smile

Did you say "74,384,338 to 1 against"? That's my lucky number!

On another note (for UKers), is it about time the BBC starting showing repeats of B7? What with Doctor Who doing so well, maybe repeating the series on BBC4 or UKTV drama would bring in viewers old and new. And maybe (dare I say it!) more intrest in a new B7!

Please check out my blog, as I attempt to watch and review EVERY Doctor Who episode! http://journeythroughtimeandspace.blogspot.com/

I occasionally go on the BBC7 message boards and one thing it's taught me is it isn't as easy as you'd think for the BBC to get their own programs! Sounds stupid, but they way they all go on about it - it seems like it can take ages for them to get permissions. Obviously everything is do-able as their are repeats of all programmes all the time - but the fact it's BBC doesnt just mean they can grab the video of the shelf, dust it down and put it out.
