Pack up your long wolly scraves and jelly babies, it's another on the road edition of the show as I attend The Doctor Who Party 14 in Toronto this past weekend. In this busting at the seams show I catch up with the folks from Polaris 23 and discuss the challenges of getting that together, dealers Sean C. Figueirdo from the Who Shack and Chris from Bakka Pheonix bookstore, two lovely costume attendes and even catch up with Teddy from the Circuit on SPACE. The feature guest is comedian Toby Hadock who preforms the play Moths Ate my Doctor Who Scarf. If that was not enough you also get bonous coverage of a an event I stubbled upon while shopping. You even get a David Letterman vs. Sarah Palin rant to start the show off. Music for this week features the song Traveler III by Victor Stellar and can be found at www.podsafemusic.com along with the intro music of Lets Get Ramblin' by Dynamo Snackbar. As always your comments and suggestions are welcome.

Russel,
The new series started in 2005 not 2006.
Sci-Fi and Space were never in a bidding war for Doctor Who. They operate in different markets. Sci-Fi is an American Channel and Space is Canadian.

Mike,
Yes you are right it did start in 2005, I guess I got my year mixed up in all the activity that was going on that day.
SPACE and Sci-Fi do compete in a way for broadcast rights on when an episode will air in the North American market so that is competition in a way just not direct because Sci-Fi is no carried on any Canadian networks. That was the only point I was trying to make with Teddy.
Cheers,
Russel
P.S. Thanks for downloading it |

Russel, that still isn't competition for broadcast rights. Not in any way.
Besides which for the next little while (if not longer) new who in the US will be on BBC American, not Sci-Fi.
