Great news. I love Danger Mouse. Recently I have been revisiting the series because they have finally been released on DVD here in the States. In fact, the final seasons of the series box set is due out soon (I already pre-ordered it).
I was thinking about it recently, wondering if they would do an anniversary show or something new with it... From the article linked above, I am assuming that the BBC has simply purchased the older episodes to transmit, and that they are not doing anything new.
Still great to see it being shown. I was it was still being shown here in the States. It had a good run on Nick during the 80's... but I haven't seen it being shown here since. Thankfully, I had recorded them on tape back then so I always had them on hand... but getting them on DVD now is sweet (even though they don't really include anything in form of extras... the only thing that comes to mind was on one DVD set they included the original un-aired pilot epiosde).
Cheers,

I went into HMV today and they were selling the 25th anniversary boxed set - containing every episode ever made - for about £25. I loved that one as a kid - especially where David Jason would do the final speech at the end of the episodes and get carried away and talk over the end credits music. I guess that's where today's continuity announcers got the idea that they have to fill every ounce of speechless airtime with inane waffle (except David Jason's contributions were entertaining and welcome).
(Hmm, David Jason would make a good Doctor) |

| Also, Dangermouse should be revered for putting the exclamation "Crumbs!" back into the English language. I still use it to this day. Perhaps that's why I use this picture. |

Apologies for resurecting an old thread - but I just had to (It's not every day you get a thread named after you!)
Dangermouse was staple viewing when I was a kid, they should put an episode on before each episode of Doctor Who!
Maybe Baron Von Greenback could be a Who villain, he could be the new Davros! |

I once visited the (now closed) animation cosgrove hall museum where they had the original sketches of DM.
He had a blue velvet jacket and a frilly shirt...
more Jerry Cornelious that Jon Perttwee as he had a gun but it still rocked! |

I have to admit that I have been wearing out the DVDs ever since they were released.
Sure, I had them recorded on tape previously, but the DVDs are so convenient. Especially since I don't find myself with a great deal of time to watch TV, a short episode (or episodes) of DM is just the cure.
Cheers,

I gather from the logo bug in the upper right corner of that YouTube clip that is has been shown on the Boomerang channel. I did not know that. Was that Boomerang in the US (assuming there may be other Boomerang channels in other countries such as the UK -- just guessing though)?
Once I got them all on DVDs, I gave up looking to see them being broadcast elsewhere.
