I notice sometime during the last week the website passed the one million hit mark. Congratulations!
Seeing as this was done in one year the daily average is about 2700 hits. WOW! |

Hey, A quick look at the site statistics shows that the hit rates must be increasing. Two million is coming soon, current number is just under 1.91 Million.
Although the first million took a year, the second million looks like it will take 6 months. This is both good (more people like Dr who - Yippee) and bad (more expensive bandwidth - Boo).
Have the number of podcast downloads doubled since July, reflecting the extra website traffic?
Do downloads of the podcast appear as hits on the website? or are they hosted on the server in such a way that they don't register as part of the website?
Keep up the Good Work

Thanks Stewart,
Yeah the site visits have really been snowballing as we go on. As has been the podcasts. Most of the podcasts are off on another server and do not count as hits here. They too have been going up, but I haven't checked the stats lately. We try not to get too wrapped up in the numbers too much. But I will try to remember to check them out when I get home.
Off Topic --> Ewww... it is getting cold out.
Cheers,

OT: tell me about it, I've just moved from Massachusetts to Austin, Texas. Hence Austin is freezing (currently shut down by an ice storm) whilst the North East has had a pretty mild winter (to date) and there is virtually no sking and oil prices are low.
Unfortunately, no one in Texas (at least where I am)knows how to drive in the cold/ice, so the whole place has ground to a halt. If the North East behaved the same way it would have to shut down for four months of the year. |

By the look of it the site should go through the two million hits mark tomorrow. |
