I finally got around to watching this show off of BBC-America. For some reason a show was skipped and I don't think I saw the second show. I believe he witnesses his father being arrested for a crime. Am I crazy or did I really miss this episode?

No you aren't crazy! They even showed us a glimpse of that show after the premiere episode. Then the very next episode was of the jewelry heist.

I wonder why they skipped it, and when they'll come back to it?

Thanks for the post. I was going mad looking back at my DVR logs and checking if it was deleted somehow. LOL

When I first saw previews for the program it looked like the entire series was going to be him tracking the killer (from the first episode) throught the series. I'm glad I was wrong. Still, the show kind of reminds me of Time Trax in a way. Does anyone remember that show? A guy from the future is transported back to our past to capture time travelling crooks.

Well, okay. Loosly reminds me of Time Trax, still I think you get the point.

Is that the one based off of the movie Time Cop? Or was that tv show also called Time Cop?

I think that show was also called Time Cop.

In another odd bit of news. I was reading a (I think Green Lanter) comic book and in one panel, a guy starts talking about how he was knocked into a coma and had a weird dream where he was back in 1973 as a cop. It was hilarious. I'll do a scan of it if anyone wnats to see it.

I'd love to see that. Was it a recent Green Latern?

Yes, but I don't recall which title. I'll scan a picture of it tonight.

Here you go. I found it, but it was in the wrong book. It was in Blue Beetle #4. August 2006.

Was this comic book created prior to the Life on Mars television series?

It's from the current (August 2006) issue of Blue Beetle so I'd think not.

I'd say it's definitely a nod to Life on Mars then...

Yea, it's a new book so it's certainly a nod to 'Is There Life On Mars?'

I had to share this with everyone. LOL

I wonder, when it finally ends, will it be like the Wizard of Oz. When Sam comes out of the coma, will he say "and you were there, and you, and you too..".

In one of the UK forums a while back some people were guessing the the police girl - White - would turn out to be Sam's nurse when (if it is a coma) he wakes up.

Oh, that's a good one (re: White as the nurse). It brings to mind a show that I enjoyed in the 80s in the US called "St Elsewhere." It was a hospital drama set in current time, but the writers took a crap way out in the last series episode. Turns out the five plus previous seasons were all dreamed up by some KID as he was playing with his snowglobe of a hospital... just bizarre.

I just watched the first two eps of Life on Mars after hearing about it on another podcast, and came to post about it here. I was happy to see it's already being discussed. I'll go back and read all the posts before commenting further. I'm really enjoying it, though.
