20 minutes 'till the Bionic Woman premiere. Bumping this back to the top of the Other SciFi group.
/-edit-/
Arrgghhh...five minutes before the start, one of my best friends from highschool calls up to BS while he's driving back from Milwaukee. I missed the whole thing. Luckily when I could tell the call wasn't a quick one I started my computer recording the show. I'll have to watch it tomorrow. |

No spoilers.
It was better than I expected though it does take getting used to the lack of the old sound effects. For now it seems to be worth the effort.
Cheers,

I didn't bother watching or recording last night.
But if those of you who did watch it think its worth it, do tell, so I can grab it somewhere. Anyone besides Merlin watch it? |

I liked the episode. I'll watch it again I think.
Anyone notice the actress playing her sister has been replaced and is no longer deaf?
(considering the promo of a few months ago). I wonder what the deal with that is. |

| No updates in almost a month. What's the word on the show? I haven't seen any of them myself, but I recently acquired them all via alternate means. I hope to sit down and watch a few tonight, after I run out for food. Anyone? Is the new show Bionic or Moronic? |

I quite enjoyed the pilot episode (which I watched on a plane on my ipod) but have not yet watched the next three which are sitting on my DVR (which I guess means that it is not 'must watch" material).
Mind you, I have only watched the first two Sarah Jane adventures episodes and the rest are waiting to be watched.
Oh well, I'm flying to Europe again on Sunday, so I will probably load up my iPod and watch four episodes of SJA and the second episode of BW. |

I just got a 160gb iPod classic for my birthday, so I'm having fun with it, as well. I have all of the last season of Who on it, as well as some classic ones. In fact, I was just listening to the William Hartnell Podshock, so I'm about to convert my Unearthly Child into iPod format.
I almost forgot to mention, I did end up watching the first two eps of Bionic Woman tonight. I liked the pilot, but I didn't like ep 2 as much. I'll hold off on the spoilery stuff for now, though. |

I've seen every episode but this weeks so far. I think the jury is still out on whether it's gonna make it. As mentioned earlier, it's not exactly 'must see' yet.
That being said, I have yet to see the SJA. Not sure why that is either. Far too many shows to watch I guess. *sigh* |

I got an iPod Touch about a month ago, pretty awsome for video (and I get about 6 hours run time, over 20 for music only). I usually carry an auxiliary battery pack on flights so battery life becomes a non-issue. The PSP Video utility I use to encode files actually runs in faster than real time e.g. 16 minutes to encode one episode of SJA.
The only drag with the touch is the 16GB limit, I would have happily paid and extra $150 for 32GB (which would have been slightly more than my old Video Ipod G5)
Anyway off-topic, will watch episode 2 this week and decide on whether to catch up on the rest.
May be too much baseball to watch this week. Go Red Sox! |

Without turning this into the SJA thread, I will say that we've been watching them when both parts were available, so we've seen both the Slitheen two-parter and the Gorgon two-parter and we've really enjoyed them. More than we enjoyed Torchwood.
One thing I really liked about the Bionic Woman pilot was that there were no less than three Galactica people in it...Starbuck as Sarah Corvis, obviously, but also Chief Tyrol in a small part and the always great Mark Sheppard who was Baltar's lawyer in season 3 (as well as Badger in Firefly) as Will's scientist dad. |
