Starts this Saturday (12th) at 7pm on ITV1. Imo the first series was great and I can't wait to see how they solve the cliffhanger from last year.
Although I'm a little bit disapointed that ITV haven't promoted this as much as they could have done, i'm sure this series will be good! |

I do admit I'm looking forward to the new series. I think because I had no expectations for the first, I enjoyed it greatly - a good "romp."
I'm also interested in seeing how they resolve - or not - the cliff hanger.
Kind of disappointed to see the character of Helen Cutter back. |

| I'm really looking forward to it, too. Both for Dave's reasons and because I really enjoyed it. I'll have to rewatch series 1 to get myself back up to speed. I do remember the cliffhanger ending, though. |

| I'm not looking forward to the series for the same reason as daveac.... well, in the same vein, but a different character - with a different gender! |

Well Tell us who And we'll find a picture.
Is it one of these two?

Bye the way I checked my TV guide (comes with my Sunday Times) and they give away a bit too much about the series - so as ever - be careful what you read!!
Take my advice and just enjoy the pictures
Cheers, daveac

Yes - it's one of these two:

Now, if they'd just add a character with Cutter's accent and intelligence, but Stephen's tall, dark good looks! Ah, that would be heaven!
Linquel - definitely not James Lester. A little too much of a government sleezebag - but enjoyable as a character!

Spearritt and Potts were on the J Ross show tonight.
In the clip she still has 'white' hair - but here's she's gone black:-
Picture squashed to 512 wide - save to see full size

What did we all think then? Better CGI imho, but that doesn't matter tbh! I was glad to see them pick up the story right after the events of last year. Decent story set at a decent pace and i'm sure there's better to come! (Paul Cornell episode?)
And Claudia Brown/Jenny Lewis at the end You can keep Abby, Dave, i'm fine with Jenny! Now she is a classy lady!

Doh..spoiler warnings, please.
Ok, I finally got to watch the episode, and while I still enjoyed it a lot there were one or two bits that made me cringe a little. I didn't like when Nick popped the wheelie on the motorcycle and kicked the raptor in the head. I mean, he's not Lara Croft. Him punching the raptor through the elevator door wasn't as bad. I agree that the CGI seems to have been upgraded. I thought it was really good for TV in series 1 and now it looks fantastic. Even the anomalies look better. I'm really curious how they are going to explain the Claudia/Jenny thing. I'm going to give the writers the benefit of the doubt and hope they rise to the challenge. I'm glad the show is back for another series, though. |

*Spoilers of course* (Why read this thread unless you already know that?)
I was mightily disappointed when Jenny walked in. It SHOULD have been Claudia Brown. That would have made for some interesting twists.
Instead to have someone who isn't her, but looks just like her, seems to be a big distraction.
The show as pretty good. Not excellent.
The thing that really irked me is this: They have an organization of time travellers, presumably they've all read "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury or are at least familiar with its concepts - yet when Cutter came back complaining one of their long-time companions was just missing, they passed him off as a psycho, or having a breakdown.
Uh... this is what they DO. They travel through time. They know what can happen. I know that if I was meddling with time and someone came back and said "Where the hell is Bill? I'd be pretty darned concerned that something had changed in the past and we'd better get to fixing it.
