Superman: The Music - 8 cd Set Views: 656

Just thought I'd share one of my non-Doctor Who related interests...

One of my favorite sites is Film Score Monthly, dedicated to film/tv soundtrack music, which is what I personally listen to most of all.

They've recently released an amazingly comprehensive 8 cd set of music from the four Christopher Reeve Superman films plus music from the Superman animated tv series from the late 80's. Anyone interested can check it out here.

They've also released a ton of other amazing music over the years, including such obscure but wonderful items as the Logan's Run tv series (and the film, too) and four separate sets of music from the Man From UNCLE, plus too many old movies to count. If you're interested at all in that kind of music, I urge you to check 'em out.

I frequent that site as well. The Superman all-inclusive set is impressive, although a bit out of my price range. I already have the original score soundtrack by John Williams and Superman II by Ken Thorne (based on Williams work). As for III and IV... hmm... I am not sure how impressive the soundtracks were.. if I recall correctly, Williams only did the first one himself (which is really outstanding).

    Cheers,
    Louis

There's a 4 disc BSG original television score as well. Stu Phillips, I think.
