Today we recorded our first podcast over the net LIVE in so that anyone could listen to it live as it was being recorded. We recorded another roundtable discussion podcast with several hosts of other podcasts and several of our regular contributors.
Thank you for all that participated.
We did not publicly announce that it was going to be a live on the net recording ahead of time because we were not sure if it was going to work. Today was a trial run. There were many bumps to work out, but I think we did it.
So, in the future we hope to do more and we will let everyone know ahead of time so that we can have more people chiming in, including live listener feedback (i.e. a call-in show).
Once more, I want to thank all that participated in this first one.

| Thanks so much for inviting me. I had a blast. I hope the recording quality came out okay for you. Definitely was a great experience to see that there were 10 other people from all around the world all on at the same time, talking about Doctor Who. Very nice! Thanks again. |

Wow, that would have been cool to listen in live, it means less post-production for Lou!
It should be interesting to listen to the recorded and polished version of the show. :-)

Nah... the next one we will be inviting everyone. This was a roundtable discussion with other podcasters. We were originally going to record as we did when last did a roundtable podcast, all within Skype. But it has its limitations (only so many can be in the conference simultaneously).
We can do live episodes on the net on a regular basis in which would be completely interactive with anyone that wishes to be part of it.
So I hope you will join us then.

Just for the records, my comment was meant to be tongue in the cheek - hence the
I don't have a Skype ID (easily fixed) but also have no audio set up on my PC other than 'basic sound'. Again, easily fixed £££££ allowing.
I would like to join in in future though  |

We will be recording another live over the net recording tomorrow, Sunday, 8th of April at 1pm EDT (US). Everyone is welcomed to listen live and/or participate in the show. This is a special review-only episode of tonight's The Shakespeare Code. So be warned, it will contain spoilers if you have not seen it yet.
In order to take part in the live over the net recording, you need to go to the TalkShoe web site, and get a free ID.

Yeah, we can't do anything about the Easter holiday... but we will be recording a live version of the show each week as we review the previous night's new Doctor Who episode. So we hope to continue doing this weekly as we progress through the new 2007 series.
So if you can't make it tomorrow, hopefully you can make it the following week.
