This Saturday (26th April) we are recording the 2nd live segment reviewing Partners in Crime for the those that are catching the new series on the Sci-Fi Channel.
It was originally scheduled for 12 noon, but it had be rescheduled to that night (8pm) because it would have conflicted with Ken and myself being at the Pod Camp NYC expo.
Though I am not sure how well a 8pm timeslot on a Saturday would work for the targeted audience. Perhaps we should do it earlier on Sunday? I don't want to get into the same trouble with Talkshoe as happened last week though with one show stuck in limbo and we couldn't start the second show.
Any thoughts from those watching it on the Sci-Fi Channel?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Saturday segment may need to be rescheduled. I will have a better idea how things are going to pan out for this weekend by tomorrow I hope.
At this time, the Sunday live segment should still be a go.

OK.. I promised I would keep everyone posted. I think both Saturday and Sunday's scheduled recordings can go on as planned.
In fact, I may now have some leeway in the Saturday's schedule that we can move the show to better time perhaps.
I had to cancel my appearance at PodCampNYC due to circumstances that had arose this week. I hope to attend next time.

Actually, I am somewhat surprised that we are slightly ahead of the Typical Mac User Podcast, that is a very popular show to my understanding. And where is Maccast Loop? Another popular show. Hmm..
We still need to schedule the launch of our spin-off live show. Which will also be on Talkshoe.

Out tonight (Saturday) - Yes I do have a small social life  - - and I know this Podshock is for the SF viewers.
If it stays at 8pm EST - 1am here in the UK I'll drop in to listen (and try not to butt in too much)
(EDIT - Of course it needs to go out at the best time you can fix for the US viewers.)
Maybe even James won't be studying at that time of night.

It was originally moved to 8pm because during the day I and possibly Ken would have been at the PodCamp NYC expo today. I didn't expect to be able to record the live segment until this evening. As it turns out, due to a death in the family, I had cancelled my registration for PodCamp NYC today as I wouldn't be able to attend. So I am not at PodCamp NYC right now.
So far, I have heard nothing from the US fans following the series on the Sci-Fi Channel as to tonight's time slot. Yah or Na.
I would had liked to have promoted it better as well, but I just didn't have the time this week. We will see what happens tonight... we will see who if anyone shows for the Sci-Fi Channel live review segment... That reminds me, I should send out email reminders now about it.

I finally managed to listen to a LIVE podcast!
Funny - my friend used the "second cup of coffee" quote at me this week (and I didn't get the reference, he had to explain it) and then it come up in the podcast! :O coincidence! |
