Credit for that goes all to James... He amazingly discovered the TARDIS and put together the video piece the same evening moments before we recorded Episode 22.
Thanks.
Cheers,
Louis

I can't think of a better way to psyche oneself up for recording an episode of Podshock.
Good eye, James!

Hey, James.
How about for Podshock 23 you find the owner of the station and interview him - find out why he has a TARDIS out front...

If anyone's near the National Tramway Museum in Crich, Derbyshire, you can spot this one:
Photo by photographer John Beres here
Do we have a directory of Police Boxes on the site here?

That is so weird you asked that question... I was thinking of doing something exactly to that effect just last night. After seeing James posting the directions to the BP station to find his latest TARDIS sighting, it would cool to have a directory and map of Police Boxes/TARDIS locations around the world...
I then wondered if someone hasn't already done so on the net... It would be kind of surprising if no one has already tried this before.
Abersoch, is this your photo? Perhaps you may want to consider adding it to our TARDIS Spottings album in our Gallery section.

I've contacted him, but I haven't heard anything. As it has been over a week now - I'm not too hopeful that he will get in touch. |

No, unfortunately not, I spotted it while I was taking part in filming at the National Tramway Museum about 18 months back and was going to photograph it but the batteries on my camera died. But I remembered it and found this photo of it.
It comes from the website of photographer John Beres HERE. If you want to use it for the gallery I think you should be ok. His website states that he's happy for his photos to be used on non-commercial sites, so long as there is a credit for him and a link (which I've also added to the other post).

P.S. I've just had a quick trawl through the net and there doesn't appear to be a listing for the locations of police boxes or TARDISES...or is that TARDI? No that would be "Time And Relative Dimension In..." which would just be stupid....ANYWAY I digress.
There doesn't appear to be one anywhere - not even on Gallifreyone (unless it's buried deep in their forums where no-one will see it) so you could always put a listing together and then fire off an email to Outpost Gallifrey saying "Hey n00bs! Call yourself Doctor Who fans? You haven't got one of these!"
(well, ok, perhaps not ) |

I'm reading Back ti the Vortex by Shaun Lyon, and he states that the March 25th (2005) issue of The Scotsman reported that there are 237 blue police boxes scattered throughout Britain. This may be a good place to start researching.

It would be interesting to put together some sort of directory or map of all them...
As for the one spotted in Derbyshire, look at the layers of paint on it. It certainly has interesting texture to it due to the paint layers.

Oh yes, it was certainly an old one. However it was pretty solid and it did have a telephone in it (one of those dial payphones that went out of use in the 1970s and 1980s).

P.S. Is there a way to add them to the Frappr map. I can only put my own location on. If I try to add another marker the map thinks I want to change my location. |

I think you need to log out of your Frappr account and then add a new location. I think this is the only way to add additional locations to someone else's map. The creator of the map may be able to put additional pins, but I'm not sure.
