[Quote by: tarashnat] [Quote by: K Kochanski] [Quote by: tarashnat] | [Quote by: K Kochanski] Yes, that is a great idea. I will be at the con on Saturday definitely and perhaps on Sunday too if there is still a lot to see and do. |
| If there is only a little to do on Sunday, then you could always come to the DWNY video meet... I believe it is in Manhattan this weekend.

Oh, cool idea. Time and place? If I don't go to Neutral Ground to play cards I may want to join the video meet. |
| The location hasn't been announced yet, but the time is 2 PM according to the calander at DWNY.org. Usually by Wednesday or Thursday before the meet, there is an email that goes out to those who have signed up for the DWNY list with the announcement. Respondents to the email are emailed directions to the location (usually a private residence).

Yes it is being held at a private residence and unlike the pub meets we tend to keep the address less advertised. A e-mail went out to everyone signed up to the group, but if anyone is not signed up but would thinks they might be in the neighbourhood this weekend, you can always e-mail me directly at dave@dwny.org and ask.
Don’t be shy. |

So I'm back from New York, and I didn't get to attend any of the events mentioned in this thread. As it is, we missed a trip to the Metropolitan Museum... we were just toured OUT!
I was highly disappointed with my trip to Forbidden Planet. There was some neat stuff there, but I fully expected them to have some of the new Doctor Who stuff, and they did not. The only things they had were the IR controlled Daleks from the 1960s films, and while cute, at $40.00 I wasn't interested.
Anyway, on a recent episode Ken asked why not many people had submitted shots of themselves wearing a Podshock shirt at various landmarks or monuments, etc. He even specifically wondered why no one had yet submitted pictures of themselves at the Statue of Liberty.
Well, ask and ye shall receive:

There are several cool pics there, so please check it out. The images are all available in various different resolutions.
(Also, check out this newsflash:
- New concept for K-9. Do not click this if you don't like things spoiled.)

Wow Sean... That is great! Hey, post a couple in our Podshock Podshirt Gallery (unless you want me to post them there for you)... So cool...
But Sean, how do we really know it that is really you? I mean, you could have staged all the photos using life-like action figures with miniatures.
Every time I see photos of people visiting New York, I almost always say the same thing... "Oh, I ought to do that some day, or visit that some day..." etc... Being a "local" one tends to take things for granted here and visitors to Manhattan usually see views of it that many of the native New Yorkers never do.
Cool red hoodie. Cheers mate!
Cheers,
